It was quite a community fireworks show event in Marshalltown on the Fourth of July. The Central Iowa Fairgrounds was the venue. There was a performance by the Cornflake Cloggers dance group, activities for the kids including bounce houses and Happy Train rides, food from numerous vendors, music from Exit 185, Man Once Stood and the Marshalltown Municipal Band and of course fireworks at dusk…..Organizer Luisa Ortega says they got pretty close to their fundraising goal to help offset the cost of the event……It was a hot sticky July day…..Marshalltown topped out at 87 on the Fourth of July.
