The Marshalltown High School baseball team shut out Newton Tuesday night by the score of 5-0. Lefty Nate Vaance twirled a two hitter. The Cats are 1-0. As heard on KFJB the MHS softball team lost at Newton 8-1. The girls soccer team won on Senior Night at Leonard Cole Field beating Ottumwa 10-0. Kyra Long had three goals for the Bobcats who finished the regular season 4-12. Wednesday night the boys soccer team plays at Cedar Rapids Prairie in sub state action. Kick off time is 6:30.
