Kurt Busch has won the Daytona 500 for the first time in 16 starts, edging Ryan Blaney. Busch surged ahead after pole-sitter Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr. and Paul Menard ran out of gas during the final three laps. Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick were among 15 drivers who were knocked out of the race by wrecks.
