The Marshalltown Community College men`s soccer team lost a heartbreaker in a playoff final against Iowa Western, losing 1-0 on a goal that was scored in the match`s 83rd minute by Gabriel Viola. MCC lost to IWCC in the Region 11 final for the second straight year. The Tigers managed just two shots in the match against a tough defense. The Tigers ended up thier year rated number 14 in the nation with a record of 15-4-1. The match took place at the Jim Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.
