The Marshalltown High School boys golf team missed making the state tournament by two strokes Tuesday at Veenker Memorial Golf Course at Ames. Nate Vance though shot a four over 76 and made it as an individual golfer. The team placed 4th.

Meanwhile the girls volleyball team lost three straight games at Johnston, losing 10-25, 14-25, and 13-25, they saw their season record slip to 9-14. Johnston is the #14 team in the state.

The girls swim team lost at Johnston 145-41.
