Over this past weekend the Marshalltown Community College men`s soccer team beat NIACC on the road at Mason City by the score of 1-0. The Tigers got a goal from Sophomore Thiago Fernandez in the 69th minute to give them the margin of vixctory they would need. The #3 rated Tigers are now 9-1 on the season and will next play Iowa Western at Council Bluffs next Saturday at two o’clock p-m.

Meanwhile the Marshalltown Commuunity College women`s volleyball team went to Norfolk Nebraska and played the Hawks of Northeast Community College and lost 3 games to 1 and saw their record on the year slip to 4-12.  MCC will now play Southwest Community College tonight in Creston. Match time is seven p-m.
