(Iowa City, IA) – Plans to raise tuition at Iowa’s Big 3 Universities continues to move forward. The Iowa Board of Regents has wrapped up their meeting. Originally, the board was considering raising Undergraduate Tuition to 300-dollars. Instead, the board approved a 250-dollar tuition increase beginning next year. Board President Bruce Rastetter says, the tuition hike is necessary in order to maintain educational quality. The move comes after lawmakers fell 14-million-dollars short in what the universities requested in revenue.
