The City of Marshalltown on Wednesday held the first 2 of 3 planned Open Houses at the Fisher Community Center to talk about the concept and cost of the proposed police and fire station building at West Anson and South 2nd Streets. Architect, Jim Classe of the firm Prochaska and Associates said two conceptual designs were put on display and an estimate of cost as well. The intent is to get information out to the community and get people talking. Meanwhile the next date for tours of the existing police and fire stations in Marshalltown will be June 5th from 1 to 4 p.m. at those two respective locations in Marshalltown.
