The Des Moines Blaze amateur football team beat the Saint Paul Pioneers on Saturday at Des Moines East High School by the score of 32-13. The game was billed as the Capitol City Classic and the two teams from different Semi-Pro leagues clashed. Blaze quarterback Demarreo Darrah himself a Des Moines East alum threw for four touchdowns, two of them to receiver Keonte White an alumnus of nearby Grand View University. The Blaze are now 2-0 on their season, next up for them is a road date to Davenport and a game with the Quad City Wolfpack next Saturday at six p.m. at Brady Street Stadium.
