Jazz Coffee Concert is May 9
The Annual Jazz Coffee Concert will be presented on Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. in Dejardin Hall on the Marshalltown Community College campus.
The concert will feature MHS Jazz 1 under the direction of Bret Lee, MHS Jazz 2 under the direction of Brett Umthun, the Miller Jazz Band under the direction of Michael Albarracin and the Lenihan Jazz Band under the direction of Paul Sibbel.
Dessert, coffee and ice tea will be provided. Plan to enjoy an evening of jazz with the fine arts departments from the three schools.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for 6th grade and younger students with MHS activity cards honored.
Art silent auction is May 5
A silent auction of art will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Ron Fisher Furniture. It will benefit a great art program at MHS which brings professional artists into the classroom.
