Officials of the YWCA are inviting people to participate in a Stand Against Racism in Marshalltown on Thursday. CEO Carol Hibbs says the event will take place on the east side of the bridge on the Center Street Viaduct south of downtown. The timing is between noon and 1 p.m. Participants are asked to wear orange if at all possible which is the color of the Not In Our Town organization which is partnering with the YWCA in this effort.
