Saying the state is lagging behind, Governor Kim Reynolds says the state needs to work to improve diversity opportunities. That includes the fact that the state unemployment rate among blacks is 14-point-eight percent, compared to the overall state’s unemployment rate of three-point-nine percent.

The Governor says while there is work to be done, acknowledging that face is where progress begins.
