An 18-year old was hospitalized with a gun shot wound after an incident yesterday afternoon in Ames.

The victim said he was accidently shot in the leg inside an apartment in the 200 block of South Oak Street. The person who shot him had left before officers arrived.

The victim is listed in stable condition at Mary Greeley.
