Northern Iowa won the battle of the Iowa teams after a five hour rain delay, as the Panthers shut out Iowa State 8 to 0 yesterday at the NCAA regional in Columbia, Missouri. Sammy Bunch hit her 22nd dinger of the season while Kailyn Packard limited the Cyclones to just one hit.
UNI advances to face host Missouri after the Tigers defeated Illinois-Chicago 8 to 0. That contest begins at 1:00 today. Iowa State faces Illinois Chicago in an elimination bracket game at 3:30.
