The Iowa State men’s basketball team’s season was dealt another blow, and this time the opponent is COVID-19. Team officials said the pause comes due to COVID-19 protocols within the athletics program.

Due to this, Saturday’s game at Kansas is postponed.

“The priority for us is the safety and well-being of everyone in our program,” head coach Steve Prohm said in a statement. “While it is disappointing we won’t be able to play this weekend, we look forward to returning to competition when it is safe to do so.”

The team has not yet released any plans for any of the other games this season.
