A case of measles has been reported in Iowa. The Iowa Department of Public Health says the individual was not vaccinated and had recently returned from Israel, where an outbreak is taking place.

Marshall County Public Health Nurse Pat Thompson says this should be a reminder to check your health record and make sure your immunizations are up to date.

This is the first case of measles reported in Iowa since 2011.
