The Marshall County Board of Supervisors approved the use of the county band shell during Septemberfest this year, the dates of September 22nd through September 25th on the courthouse grounds for fall family fun festival activities.
Among the personal actions at the latest board of supervisor meeting: the Supervisors granted a change in pay to Ron Nauman the counties veterans affairs director to stay in line with mandates for people on part time status in this type of role.
The Board approved the purchase o a 2016 dodge ram 1500 truck from ken wise of Marshalltown at a cost of 36-thousand dollars, the also approved the purchase of four pup trailers from Henderson truck equipment of Manchester at a total price tag of nearly 169-thousand dollars.
A group of concerned neighbors who live along east main street aired their concerns about the need to pave the last mile of road leading into tama county due to dust concerns. Solutions were talked about but no firm action taken on the matter yet.
