The area could see between a half inch and an inch of rain between Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening according to the National Weather Service. The timing is after 2 p.m. up until 1 a.m. Thursday morning. A dense fog advisory for the listening area was posted with visibility reports as low as 2 tenths of a mile. The National Weather Service issued and then rescinded a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for counties in southwest Iowa. Omaha had a storm with a lot of hail Wednesday morning, pictures of which made it look like snow had fallen there.
