Opponents of a proposed oil pipeline in Iowa want the state Utilities Board to reopen the record and take additional evidence that crude pumped in the U.S. is being shipped overseas. The opponents say that Congress’ recent action in lifting the 40-year ban on exporting U.S.-produced crude will bolster their argument that North Dakota oil shipped through the Bakken pipeline doesn’t benefit Iowa.
