North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren has apologized to Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher for his comments accusing the top-ranked Seminoles of faking injuries to slow down the Wolfpack's offense.

Doeren released a statement Tuesday morning on the program's Twitter account and extended his apology to FSU's staff, players and fans. He says he left an emotional locker room after Saturday's 56-41 loss and "took those emotions with me to the press conference," where he first raised the issue.

He did it again Monday when asked at his weekly news conference, and Fisher denied that his team faked injuries.

Doeren says he has the "utmost respect" for Fisher, his staff and players and that the focus should be on a great game won by the Seminoles.

An Osage woman is recovering after being injured in a house fire.

The fire occurred Sunday in Osage.

Osage Police Officer Mike Niemeyer says he arrived to find the home filled with smoke. He found the unconscious woman in an upstairs bedroom.

Osage Fire Chief Kurt Angell says the woman was held in a local hospital overnight for observation.

Police say a neighbor heard Fox's dog barking, saw smoke pouring from the house and then called 911 around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Angell says the house suffered little structural damage.

A defense lawyer says the Boston Marathon bombing suspects' sister denies making phone threats, allegations that have resulted in a harassment charge.

Authorities say Ailina Tsarnaeva (tsahr-neye-EH'-vuh) of North Bergen, New Jersey, claimed that people she knew could bomb the home of a woman who was previously involved with her husband.

Her lawyer, Susan Marcus, said Tuesday that the claim is "uncorroborated."

Bail was set at $5,000.

Tsarnaeva told reporters she had "nothing to say."

Authorities say Tsarnaeva has been required to check in with Massachusetts probation officers since last October after she failed to cooperate with a counterfeiting investigation.

Her brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) has pleaded not guilty in the April 2013 marathon explosions, which killed three people. Her other brother, Tamerlan, died after a gunbattle with police.

Chinese tennis star Li Na received a tearful send-off on center court at the China Open on Tuesday, complete with hugs from her former competitors, cheers from home fans, and a bouquet of flowers from Rafael Nadal.

Wearing a black pantsuit and her hair pulled back in a low bun, Li fought back tears as Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova thanked her for being an inspiration and friend, and WTA chairman Stacey Allaster called her "the player of this decade who has made the most impact and growth on women's tennis."

Li then thanked the fans for always encouraging her, and did a lap around the court, waving goodbye.

The two-time major winner announced her retirement this month before her hometown Wuhan Open, citing recurring knee injuries.

The Oakland Raiders will have a new head coach.

A person with knowledge of the move has confirmed that Dennis Allen is out after just two-plus seasons and an 8-28 record.

The decision comes one day after the team lost its 10th straight contest dating to last season, 38-14 to Miami in London. The Raiders went 4-12 in each of their two full seasons under Allen and haven't had a winning season since capturing the 2002 AFC championship.

Allen was the first coach hired by the Raiders following the death of owner Al Davis.

The NFL says Kansas City Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah should not have been penalized for dropping to his knees in prayer in the end zone after an interception.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora writes on Tuesday that "the officiating mechanic in this situation is not to flag a player who goes to the ground as part of religious expression.

Signora says "there should have been no penalty on the play."

The flag thrown in the fourth quarter of Kansas City's 41-14 victory over New England on Monday night touched off a firestorm on social media, with many wondering how it was different from players dropping to one knee in Christian prayer.
