MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) — A candlelight vigil has been held in Muscatine to honor a man who was stabbed to death earlier this week.
Hundreds of people gathered Wednesday night at the city riverfront to reminisce about 45-year-old Timothy Lane, a local businessman who was found with multiple stab wounds Sunday night. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Lane's stepson, 30-year-old Cody Ryan Curtis, has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. Court records do not list an attorney.
Lane's friends from high school helped put together the vigil. They called the event a time to celebrate his life and support his family.
