Many U.S. Olympic hopefuls in luge, bobsled and skeleton will be getting a chance in the coming days to study the track that will be used at the Sochi Games.
An international training week for luge athletes starts Friday. Another training period for bobsledders and skeleton racers starts Nov. 8.
It's an important time for sliders since the next 2 1/2 weeks will represent the last time international Olympic hopefuls will get a chance to train at the Sochi track before the games start in early February.
And these training weeks also give sliders a chance to see how they measure up against the rest of the world.
