The Marshalltown Police Department reported a couple of accidents on the streets of Marshalltown.
The first one was a two vehicle accident at Reyclif Drive and Reynolds Road, the drivers were identified as 22 year old Terami Kerwood of State Center in a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville, and 71 year old Thomas Clemons of Marshalltown in a 2006 Lincoln Pick Up Truck.
The Kerwood vehicle was trying to make a left and the Clemons vehicle a right and they hit head on at the intersection, the Kerwood vehicle was totaled, the Clemons vehicle suffered functional damage of 15 hundred dollars, both drivers were not hurt and were cited for not having proof of insurance.
There was a chain reaction, three vehicle accident at the intersection of Merle Hibbs Boulevard and South Center Street.
The drivers were identified as 85 year old Arlene Dillon of Marshalltown in a 2010 Ford Fusion, Kylie Price of Marshalltown in a 2000 Hyundai and Natasha Kajer of Toledo in a 2008 Hummer.
All of the drivers were northbound, Price and Kajer were stopped and rear ended by Dillon and that caused the Price vehicle to rear end the Kajer vehicle. 65 hundred dollars in estimated damage between the three cars. Dillon was cited for Failure to Stop within an assured clear distance. Nobody was hurt.
