The Marshalltown Business Education Alliance held a post legislative session panel discussion at Marshalltown`s Fisher Community Center on Thursday. CEO of the Marshalltown Regional Partnership David Barajas Junior says some 35 people were in attendance and the event was well received.
He says the event was moderated by Paul Gregoire the Vice President of Global Human Resources at Emerson Fisher here in Marshalltown.
There were five panelists on hand for the discussion including Mary Gannon with the Iowa Association of School Boards, Nicole Crain with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, Cindy Schulte with the Iowa Valley Community College District, Dan Smith of the School Administrators of Iowa and John Stineman the Executive Director of the Iowa Chamber Alliance.
Barajas says the MBEA is what he calls a positive differentiator that helps to define Marshalltown as a progressive and model community in this state, the Midwest and the nation.
