The Marshalltown Police Department have arrested two men in connection with a suspicious death that was reported yesterday afternoon. According to Marshalltown Police Chief Mike Tupper the two suspects have been arrested and charged in the case. Jeremy Garden has been charged with first degree murder and carrying a concealed weapon. The other man charged in the case is Max Nelson Junior who has been charged with first degree theft, accessory after the fact, and abuse of a corpse.
After the police department was notified of a suspicious death, Chief Tupper said that, the department followed up on the lead that lead them to a home on N. 4th Avenue. It was then that a search warrant was issued and a body was found in the basement.
At this time, the Marshalltown Police Office is not releasing the name of the victim as they are waiting for a positive I.D. and notifying the family. The case also remains under investigation.
