DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Des Moines police say a 45-year-old Osceola woman used her sport utility vehicle to chase and ram a motorcycle carrying her husband and another woman.

Kimberly Vangundy is charged with serious injury by vehicle. Polk County Jail records say Vangundy remained in custody on Thursday, pending $10,000 in bail. Online court records don't list the name of her attorney.

Police say the chase began a little before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses told police that Vangundy chased the motorcycle and tried to run it off the road several times. Witnesses say Vangundy didn't slow down before hitting the bike. She then got out of her SUV and began hitting her husband. Police say he and the woman with him suffered scrapes and other injuries.
