Flash flooding troubles in Des Moines.

The Des Moines Metro area had problems with flash flooding on Thursday. The most rain recorded according to reports from the National Weather Service was rural Grimes with 6.24 inches worth, rural Woodward was next in line with 3.44 and rural Johnston had 3.21 inches.
 
There was flooding at Cuttys Campground in the far northwest part of the metro, Walnut Creek which has been infamous for flood troubles in the past went up in a hurry but held up well according to a hydrology chart from the National Weather Service.
 
Marshalltown had a mere .38 worth by comparison.
 
As of Friday morning there were 12 standing river flood warnings in effect around the state of Iowa.
