At the same the Twins beat Detroit 8-4, in doing so the Royals pulled within a half game

night in a five game thriller, 25-20, 19-25, 25-19, 16-25 and 15-13. The Tigers are on a
four game win streak and have a record of 5-8. They travel to Hutchinson Kansas
for a tournament and play next on Friday.

Pitcher Jake Arieta threw a 1 hit shut out and struck out 13 in going
the distance. The Cubs won their 67th game of the year, they have won

on the road Tuesday. The score was one to nil over Iowa Lakes Community
College at Estherville. The winning goal for the Tigers was scored by Celes Vilar
seven minutes into the extra frame. The Tigers are 2-2 in conference play, 4-4
overall.

Cody Parkey kicked a 36 yard field goal as time expired to give Philly the win.

The Rodeo is coming to the Central Iowa Fairgrounds

this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and the event has

been moved indoors from outdoors on a rain or shine

basis.

Marty Brandt of the Iowa Rodeo Cowboys Association

says the change was made because of the recent rain

fall that the area has recieved.

The Marshalltown High School Volleyball team beat Waukee at home Tuesday in a match conteested at Marshalltown Community College. The scores were 25-18, 25-23, and 25-20.
The Bobcats are 3-0 on the season, the match was at MCC due to work going onat the
Roundhouse on the MHS campus.

The mens winner was Hunter Kemper who is 38 year old

from Colorado Springs Colorado, he is a four time Olympian

and won for the first time after more than one runner

up finish in the event.

The womens winner was Helle Frederiksen of Denmark,

she also was a first time winner.
