Car crash in eastern Iowa kills girl, injures 2

~  MARENGO, Iowa (AP) - Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision in eastern Iowa that killed a 4-year-old girl and injured two others.
 
     The Iowa County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Friday afternoon on a county road near Marengo. Authorities say the roadway was completely covered with ice at the time.
 
     The collision involved a pickup driven by 40-year-old Matthew Myers, of Elberon, and an SUV driven by 26-year-old Brandi Mumm, of Williamsburg. Mumm's daughter, Kaitlyn, died at the scene.
 
     Mumm and Myers were hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information about their conditions has not been released.
 
     Multiple vehicle fatalities and injuries have been reported in the state over two days. Four people were killed Friday morning in a crash in northeast Iowa. A total of six people were killed in two crashes Saturday.
