DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Gov. Terry Branstad says he has over $4 million in the bank for his re-election campaign.
Branstad announced Tuesday that he raised over $700,000 during the most recent state fundraising period, which ended Monday. He has more than $4 million on hand for his general election campaign.
The Republican governor is running for a sixth non-consecutive term. He faces Democratic state Sen. Jack Hatch in the November general election. Hatch's campaign has not yet released their fundraising information.
Campaign finance reports are due to the state on Monday.
