AMES, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 29-year-old man whose body was recovered from the Skunk River in Ames.

He was identified as Philip Frystak, who had attended Iowa State University as a graduate student. He is from Marlton, New Jersey.

His body was recovered about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. That was roughly four hours after authorities received a report that a man became separated from an inner tube near Carr Park while floating on the river with several other people.
