by KIX101.1 /1230 KFJB News Department posted Oct 29 2013 2:57PM
If you are planning to vote via an absentee ballot you only have a few days left to do so.

According to a press release from the Secretary of States office, Friday, November 1, is the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail for the upcoming city elections on Tuesday, November 5.

In his release, Matt Schultz says, "I hope all eligible Iowans take full advantage of their right to vote in the upcoming city elections."

You can apply for your absentee ballot on the Secretary of State Website.

However, for city elections, local county auditors must receive the completed absentee ballot request form no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, November 5. You can get those forms on your county auditor's website.
