DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Presidential hopefuls Sen. Rand Paul, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Sen. Rick Santorum are in Iowa to deliver their prescriptions for how to unite the Republican Party.

The three were the most notable figures to speak Saturday at the Iowa Republican State Convention in Des Moines.

It is Paul's third trip to Iowa since the 2012 election. The Kentucky senator says the GOP should maintain its core message but make the party more attractive to black and Hispanic voters.

Jindal spent much of his time criticizing President Barack Obama. He accused Obama of presiding over "the most liberal, most ideologically extreme administration we've seen in our lifetimes."

Santorum says the party often overlooks the average worker. The Pennsylvania conservative says it must reach these people to win national elections.
