Rapid snowmelt has also occurred and has added to the flooding. Local creeks and streams have been on the rise in the area. There are also flooding concerns along portions of the Cedar and Iowa rivers. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Marshalltown, Waverly, Iowa Falls, Hampton, Eldora, Grundy Center, Toledo, Allison, Evansdale, Tama, Jesup, La Porte City, Hudson, Sumner, Parkersburg, Denver, Traer and Reinbeck.

The intersection of Garwin Road and Wiese Garden Road east of Highway 14 is flooded over, as is Taylor Avenue from 160th street south to the Garwin Road, and Knapp Avenue is closed just south of Lamoille to South 230th Street.
