The need to help others have an enjoyable Christmas is highlighted this year by the face that more folks than ever have signed up for holiday assistance with the Salvation Army. Captain Pam Kasten says 215 families signed up before the deadline. She adds she knows some folks missed that deadline.
So, The Salvation Army will hold a make-up day for those who missed the deadline to sign up for assistance. It will be Saturday, December 1st from 9 a.m. until Noon.
Last year, just over 170 families signed up for food and gift assistance.
