A coalition of health care providers, researchers, volunteers, and others who are focused on the fight against cancer will gather in Ankeny today for an annual conference. Kelly Sittig , executive director of the Iowa Cancer Consortium, says an estimated 6,300 Iowans will die from cancer this year, while 17,800 more will be diagnosed with the disease.
The 2018 Iowa Cancer Summit, which runs through tomorrow, will include several speeches, panel discussions, and award presentations.
