What better place to find some sweet potatoes than on Main Street. Make that Main Street in Ames.

An estimated 200 pounds worth of sweet taters are anticipated to be harvested on Friday. The potatoes were planted as part of the Main street community gardens in the spring. There are 25 planters with four sweep potato vines in each. Any of the taters not picked will be donated to Food at First.
