The second funnel now past at the 2018 Iowa Legislative Session, which means we are just about a month away from the scheduled last day of the session. Republican State Representative Dean Fisher of Montour says he’s feeling better about the budget after the last set of income projections.Fisher says the sanctuary cities issue is important to his constituents and is hoping that will end up before the full house.

Democratic State Representative Mark Smith of Marshalltown says public education remains high on his priority list.

Smith also says there are still some very good bi-partisan legislation out there to work on, along with a number of more partisan related subjects.
