As promised, more than 70 students participated in what they called a peaceful protest at Marshalltown High School yesterday. The students left class and campus during the noon hour as a way to express their concerns about school safety and gun laws. School administrators, while saying the district would continue to follow school attendance policies, said the walk out would not result in any additional consequences.
