School officials at Marshalltown High have notified parents of a potential walk out of students today (Wednesday) . School district Communications Director Andrew Potter says school administrators began hearting same chatter on both social media and around the school on Tuesday.

In an email sent to parents and posted on the school’s website, Potter says the school expects students to be in class and any absence from class will be unexcused.

Students are being asked in regards to the safety of anyone, if they see something, say something  to school staff or officials.
