That’s A Budget Wrap

Debt free in regards to bonds by April. That’s where  Marshall County will be after the Board of Supervisor’s adopted the 2018-19 budget at this morning’s meeting. The Board also voted to place $375,000 from the current budget year into a savings account for capital improvements and  I.T. purchases.

Vice-Chair David Thompson’s summation of the budget was that the strength of Marshall County is good, due in large part to County officials and employees working to keep expenses down. Thompson also noted that 43 cents of every tax dollar in the County goes towards schools, which he says, is the way it should be.
