Do you see yourself running the 400 meters at the ripe young age of nearly 90?  Not only does Darrell Mitchell of Marshalltown  run a 400 meter race on occasion, over the weekend he won a gold medal at the Arizona Senior games. The retired United Methodist Pastor ran the 400 in one minute and 50 seconds. He says just a couple of years ago he ran the 400 in two minutes, two seconds. So not only is Mr. Mitchell getting older; He’s getting better!

Not only did Mr. Mitchell take the Gold in Arizona, he qualified for the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
