A presentation at the Marshalltown Rotary club about an active shooter training last fall at Marshalltown Community College has turned into a fund raising effort. Advocates of Marshall County Rescue personnel wants to purchase upgraded protective equipment for the folks who protect us.
So, the group wants to raise one hundred thousand dollars to make sure not only law enforcement have protection, but so do other rescue personnel in the County. A vest and helmet set costs roughly thirteen hundred dollars. Donations to this cause may be made to the City of Marshalltown.
