Country Music Icon Dolly Parton Honored With Two Guinness World Records

On Wednesday, country music legend Dolly Parton added two more honors to her already-illustrious, decades-long career as she was recognized by Guinness World Records.  Parton was presented with two record title certificates, one for the most decades with a top 20 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and another for the most hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist. Parton began her career as the duet partner of the late Porter Wagoner, racking up 21 Hot Country Songs hits before getting her first solo Top 20 hit with 1967’s “Something Fishy.” Her solo career led to 73 Top 20 hits, including the 2016 remastered version of “Jolene” with Pentatonix.
