Marshalltown Economic Development Director Tom Deimerly updated the Marshall County Board of Supervisors on the work his organization has been doing. One of the major pushes has been housing and Deimerly says 140 new units should be coming open in the next 12 months. In additional, Orton Homes, which was behind the South Pointe subdivision in Marshalltown, has its sight set on State Center for some new housing.

Deimerly says he just received the results of a new housing study. That information will be shared at a meeting in early February.
