The Bobcat bowlers finally made it to Fort Dodge yesterday, after two previous matches fell victim to the weather.\

The Marshalltown boys rolled past the Dodgers’ 3212 to 2963, as Ray Wiegand led the way with a 454 series.

The Bobcat girls not as fortunate, being topped by Fort Dodge 2623 to 2396. Haley Bell’s 362 series led the Cats.

The bowling teams next head for Pleasant Hill to take on Ankeny tomorrow afternoon.

the long series of road trips to start 2018 continued last night for the Marshalltown basketball teams, as both teams went down to defeat at Ames.

In a game heard on KFJB, the Little Cyclone bounced the Bobcat boys 60 to 38, while on the girl’s side, Ames downed the Cats 69 to 18.

Marshalltown will finally get to play in the Roundhouse this calendar year Friday night when Urbandale comes to town.

It was a very satisfactory Senior Night and final home meet of the year last evening for the Marshalltown wrestlers, as the Bobcats defeated Urbandale 47 to 33 in the roundhouse. Five of seven Marshalltown seniors posted victories last night.

The grapplers next head to Fort Dodge for a Monday match.

The Bobcat swimming team had a tough of it last night with number four ranked Johnston. The Dragons downed Marshalltown 114 to 56 at the MHS pool. During the meet, the Cats posted 32 season best times. The Bobcat boys will travel to Fort Dodge for their next dip in the pool Thursday evening.
