Dan Kester of Marshalltown was formally sworn in as the City Councilman in the First Ward of Marshalltown at Mondays City Council meeting. Kester resides in downtown Marshalltown and he was pleased to be able to represent that part of the city. He replaces the late Bob Schubert who passed away a few weeks back. Kester is an alumnus of MHS and is 50 years old and works for the Marshalltown Company. Kester will serve out the rest of Bob Schubert`s term which expires at the end of the year.
