Be careful with packages that you place in your vehicle as you are shopping for the holidays as you go from place to place. Marshalltown Police Chief Michael Tupper says thieves are looking for opportunities especially gifts and goods that are place in the back seats of vehicles. He says it is best if possible to place those items in the trunk or a locked storage portion of your vehicle. Chief Tupper says this is a prime time of the year for thievery. People are asked to report anything suspicious to the Law Enforcement Center at 641-754-5725.
