The House of Compassion in Marshalltown will be reopening its doors as a overnight shelter on Monday November 14th, however single men will not be admitted. When the shelter was temporarily placed on hiatus one of the issues talked about by Director Karen Frohwein was safety. She also says there are space issues and funding issues as well. The facility also serves as a supply closet and a place for an evening meal as well for those in need.
