There is an effort underway by the Marshalltown Police Department to obtain body cameras for use by police officers. Police Chief, Michael Tupper says he has ordered six of the body cameras thus far and will continue to raise money to purchase more. Chief Tupper says he would like to get over 40 so that all officers could be equipped with a body camera. He says another problem that must be solved is the storage of data that the body cameras will produce. An effort to raise funds for the cause continues. Chief Tupper says every little bit in terms of a contribution helps.
